航空満足度：首位シンガポール　ＡＮＡ４位、ＪＡＬ１３位

 

Singapore Airlines soars to top of passenger satisfaction ranking, ANA, JAL decline

Japanese passengers selected Singapore Airlines as the best airline of the year, a recent passenger satisfaction survey found, while airlines from Japan lost several places from last year.

According to the annual survey about in-flight services, including the quality of their hospitality, meals and amenities, Singapore Airlines was chosen as the best airline for the overall ranking list, followed by Virgin Atlantic Airways of Britain and Emirates of the United Arab Emirates.

The top three airlines also made the Top 10 lists in individual categories. "The top three airlines in the overall ranking list have many new aircraft," said Recruit Co., which conducted the survey.

All Nippon Airways (ANA), the best airline in last year's overall ranking list, dropped to fourth place this year, and Japan Airlines (JAL) also fell to 13th from third place.

The best airlines in individual categories are as follows. "Best flight attendant service": Singapore Airlines; "Best in-flight meal": Emirates; "Best aircraft and amenities": Emirates; "Best in-flight entertainment": Virgin Atlantic Airways; and "Best airline employee service at airports": ANA.

"Apparently, the greater the choices of passenger services, the higher the level of satisfaction," says a Recruit employee in charge of the survey.

The survey, which was conducted online in May among 103,922 passengers age 18 years old or over, traveling overseas over the last year, received

72,745 answers. Some 100 answers were picked at random for each of the 40 designated airlines.

リクルートは２９日、接客や機内食など航空会社のサービスに関するアンケート「エアライン満足度調査２００８」の結果を発表した。総合満足度は１位がシンガポール航空、２位ヴァージンアトランティック航空、３位エミレーツ航空。上位３社は接客など個別部門でもトップ１０入りした。リクルートは「総合の上位３社はいずれも新しい機体が多い航空会社」と分析している。

アンケートは５月、昨年１年間に海外渡航した１８歳以上の１０万３９２２人を対象にインターネット上で実施し、７万２７４５人が回答（回収率７０％）。調査対象４０社について各社１００人分の回答を無作為抽出した。

総合満足度で昨年トップだった全日本空輸（ＡＮＡ）は４位、同３位だった日本航空（ＪＡＬ）は１３位に順位を落とした。

個別部門のトップは▽客室乗務員の接客サービス＝シンガポール航空▽機内食＝エミレーツ航空▽航空機の機材、設備＝同▽機内エンターテインメント＝ヴァージンアトランティック航空▽空港内の航空会社職員の接客サービス＝ＡＮＡだった。機内食ではアルコール無料の航空会社が上位１０社を占め、エンターテインメント部門では映画やゲームの選択肢の多さが高い満足度につながった。

リクルートの調査担当者は「客が自分でサービスを選べることが高い満足度につながるようだ」と分析。総合順位で国内の２社がいずれも順位を落としたのは「もともと期待値が高いためではないか」とみている。【望月麻紀】
